About

Strengthening quality in substance use disorder treatment involves good treatment and a good quality assurance body or agency to ensure and sustain care. The panel will review efforts by UNODC, the Colombo Plan and the Organization of American States to develop a system to support countries efforts to plan a system for people with substance use disorders and to offer quality treatment services that are evidence based and in line with international standards. International Consortium on Quality Assurance (ICQ) and Program for International Quality Assurance in Treatment (PIQAT) provide technical support to countries and quality assurance organizations to include how accreditation agencies have obtained the International Quality Seal award.
Session sponsored by: United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and The Colombo Plan.
