About

Dr. Abhishek GHOSH M.D., D.M. (Addiction Psychiatry), is an Associate Professor of psychiatry in the Department of Psychiatry at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, India. His vision is to maximize the universal coverage of right-, evidence-based, and culturally sensitive treatment for people with drug, alcohol, and tobacco misuse and those with co-occurring disorders. He plays an active role in addiction psychiatry super-specialty training in India. His research interests are clinical trials and mixed-methods study, digital interventions, and evidence synthesis. He is a co-principal investigator of an ongoing National Health Research Priority Project by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi. He has published more than 100 research papers. He has worked with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC, Vienna) and the World Health Organization (WHO, Geneva, Switzerland) as a Consultant/Contractor. He is the Chair of the Network of Early Career Professionals working in Addiction Medicine (NECPAM). He is the co-director of the Diversity Editorial Fellowship Program of the American Journal of Drug and Alcohol Abuse.
