About
Since 2009, Anja Bischof works as a researcher in the research group S:TEP (Substance abuse and related disorders: Therapy, Epidemiology, and Prevention) at the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the University of Luebeck, Germany. Main focus of her research is alcohol use disorders, family members affected by addiction, internet use disorders, and pathological gambling. Her research covers prevalence of disorders, comorbidity, brief and early interventions, and impact of addiction on individuals, based on quantitative and qualitative study designs.
She is a member of the German Society for Addiction Research and Addiction Therapy (DG Sucht), the Addiction and the Family International Network (AFINet), the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT), and the International Network on Brief Interventions for Alcohol and other Drugs (INEBRIA).
