About

Kirsten Rock is a second-year PhD student within the Centre for Pharmaceutical Medicine Research at King’s College London under the supervision of Dr Caroline Copeland. Her research focuses on signal detection of novel drug-drug interactions between licensed pharmaceutical medicines and illicit substances. She holds an MSc in Drug Development Science (with distinction) from King’s College London and a BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (with highest distinction) from California Lutheran University. After completing her MSc, Kirsten worked as a research technician for the National Programme on Substance Use Mortality (NPSUM, formerly NPSAD) analysing trends in drug-related deaths in the UK. She has co-authored eight publications.
