About
I'm Mariam Sherozia, an early career researcher passionate about understanding the reasons behind drug use and its spread in Georgia. My academic journey includes earning a bachelor's degree in psychology from Ilia State University in 2020, followed by a master's degree in addiction studies in 2022. During that period, I also contributed as a research assistant at 'Alternative Georgia,' an organization dedicated to addiction research. Since 2023, I have served as a board member of the Georgian Association of Addictologists. Presently, I am engaged as a coordinator in a project funded by the European Union, focused on introducing an integrated care model in addiction services and conducting an implementation study in Georgia. Additionally, In March 2024, I started studying for a PhD program in public health at Ilia State University.
