About

Dr Nicola Metrebian is a Senior Lecturer in Addiction Treatment Studies at the National Addiction Centre at King’s College London. Dr Metrebian has a background in psychology and over 20 years experience of developing and evaluating behavioural and pharmacological interventions for opioid use disorder, including contingency management and heroin assisted treatment. Her methods expertise lies predominantly in clinical trials of complex interventions. She has received research grants from the UK’s National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), Charities and Industry and is currently undertaking research on face to face and digital behavioural interventions for encouraging medication adherence, attendance and engagement with treatment, and naloxone carriage and administration.
