About
Dr. Pamela Kent is the Director of Research and Emerging Trends at the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addition (CCSA). In this role, she oversees a suite of initiatives aimed at collecting unique and timely data aimed at providing a comprehensive picture of the alcohol and drug situation in Canada. She is also co-lead of the Canadian Substance Use Costs and Harms working group and co-author of the Canadian Substance Use Costs and Harms reports, estimating the societal costs of substance use in Canada. Prior to joining CCSA in 2016, Dr. Kent was an adjunct professor in the School of Psychology at the University of Ottawa. She holds a PhD in psychology, with a specialization in neuroscience from the University of Ottawa and has published more than 40 scientific papers.
