Digital treatment for substance use disorders: enhancing the therapist or are the machines taking over?
Abstract
Digital interventions are increasingly being evaluated among people with substance use disorders, and implemented in routine practice to enhance face-to-face care. In this presentation, we will share experiences with the implementation and use of different digital interventions at Jellinek, a substance use disorder treatment centre in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Specific attention will be given to the role of guidance in digital interventions, the different forms of guidance used, and its association with effectiveness.
