Abstract

There is increasing interest in the potential uses of cannabis and cannabinoids for medical purposes globally, with a growing number of countries making, or considering making, some form of cannabis or cannabinoids available for therapeutic purposes. However, the models of provision are diverse, both in terms of the products being authorized and the regulatory models under which they are provided. This presentation will consider different definitions and approaches to medical cannabis provision globally and discuss some of the implementation challenges and policy debates.
