About

Smoking remains the leading preventable cause of illness and premature death and is one of the largest causes of health inequalities, so alternative nicotine delivery systems could play a major role in public health. Public Health England (PHE) have commissioned a series of report on e-cigarettes/vaping devices (EC). These reports have been widely publicised and covered a wide range of vaping related issues including prevalence, attitudes and beliefs, harm perceptions, impact on health inequalities, smoking cessation and reduction, poisonings, fires and explosions, health risks, , as well as chapters on nicotine and heated tobacco products. The session will summarise findings from the most recent reports, published in 2018 and 2019.
