About

Robin is a Reader in Decision Modelling and Optimization at the University of Sheffield. His research focuses on the development and use of computer models to support public health policy appraisal and evaluation. He is Co-Director of the ‘SIPHER’ Consortium, funded by the UK Prevention Research Partnership, which is developing a new whole-systems framework for the economic evaluation of cross-sectoral strategies to improve health and reduce health inequalities, alongside policy partners in devolved and regional UK administrations. He also leads the international, interdisciplinary ‘CASCADE’ project, funded by the National Institutes of Health, which is using a diverse range of data sources and machine learning techniques to construct systems-based, theory-driven models of alcohol use patterns in the US.
