Ruben

van Beek

Ruben van Beek is the Dutch ZonMW/ERANID funded PhD student working on the ALAMA project at the Trimbos institute. Ruben completed a Master in psychology at the University of Amsterdam majoring in psychological methods and developmental psychology. He has a background in mental health care and addition through his work at homeless shelters and detox clinics. His primary research interests are substance use and nightlife participation, though broader domains such as drug policy have also been known to spike his interest. Rubens goal is to reaffirm current knowledge about European nightlife and substance use and more specifically knowledge about the patterns of polydrug use.
