Abstract

A further specific objective of IMPRESA is to establish multi-stakeholder partnerships (MSPs) on methamphetamine use prevention in five European cities. These MSPs are in charge of developing and tailoring the most adequate methamphetamine prevention strategies according to the specific needs and resources

Multi-stakeholder partnerships are established to select the best practice strategies for each city. The selection is based on an assessment of the city-level delivery context which comprises the following elements:

  • Survey among people who use methamphetamine on their needs and service utilisation
  • Survey among professional stakeholders on perceived needs and barriers in methamphetamine prevention and harm reduction
  • Secondary data assessment on the local implementation context

Results of the selection process and key findings of the assessments in the five cities are presented. Discussions Experiences in applying these methods and possible improvements are discussed.
