About

Programme Officer at the Prevention, Treatment and Rehabilitation Section of UNODC– Anja Busse has been involved since 2005 in the implementation of UNODC PTRS global projects in different functions. She is a Psychology graduate (University of Berlin, Germany) with further training in Public Health (Medical School Hanover, Germany) and Systemic Psychotherapy. Her current functions include the coordination of the UNODC global programmes on Treatment and Care of Drug Use Disorders - including the UNODC-WHO Programme on drug dependence treatment and care. Key outcomes of these programmes, that are active at country level in around 35 countries, include the UNODC/WHO International Standards for the Treatment of drug Use Disorders (2020) and related quality assurance tools as well as the UNODC/WHO handbook on treatment of drug use disorders as an alternative to conviction or punishment (2019).
