Ellen J. Amundsen is a senior researcher/PhD at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, educated as a statistician and epidemiologist. She has written more than 20 scientific articles on drug use epidemiology in international journals, one of them on the topic overdose after release from prison. For 15 years she was appointed as the Norwegian representative for the indicator “Problem drug use” at the EMCDDA. She is now working on a project with Linn Gjessing about risk factors for drug induced deaths.
