Maarten Quireyns attended the University of Antwerp from, where he gained a degree in Pharmacy – Drug development. He works at the Toxicological Centre on the analysis of influent wastewater to estimate the use of psychoactive pharmaceuticals in the population. His PhD supervisors are Alexander van Nuijs and Adrian Covaci.
