Nuria Romo is professor of Medical Anthropology and a member of the Institute of Research on Women and Gender Studies at the University of Granada (Spain). She uses ethnographic and qualitative research methods to study the gender impact in drug abuse and addictions. She is currently looking at alcohol cultures on social media and the impact of gender violence in drug abuse treatment.
