About
This session will offer global perspectives on advancements and opportunities in addiction research. It includes findings from a study on research capacity in alcohol and drug services in Australia, an overview of the International Program of the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), focusing on novel interventions for opioid use disorder, and a presentation by the International Society of Addiction Medicine on a protocol for a longitudinal global survey of substance supply, harm, and treatment services. Finally, it will provide feedback from an LX24 side event about strengthening surveillance networks worldwide.
