Gender and substance use

Attendees of this session will gain insights into various gender-related aspects of substance use. Topics include socioeconomic status and smoking patterns among women of reproductive age, shifts in cannabis use prevalence among females, the need for a more systematic inclusion of gender perspectives in health and social responses to drug issues, and the resources and strategies transgender and non-binary individuals with substance use employ to overcome the unique challenges they face.
