About
Migrants are a highly diverse population, and the relationship between migration and drug use is complex. This session will explore these complexities, focusing on the inequalities and needs of migrant groups in relation to drug policies. Topics include the use of stop and search by police in England to target drug offences, challenges faced by migrants using drugs in vulnerable situations across four European capitals, the role of substance use among migrants in the criminal justice system, a national study on drug-related issues and interventions for refugees in Belgium, and the impact of gender and migration on access to addiction treatment for women in French Guiana.
