About
In Africa, substance use (particularly among adolescents and young adults) is emerging as a public health crisis; but there is a paucity of scientific literature and data. The evidence exists on how to approach this public health crisis, but can the infrastructure rise to the global challenge of establishing a well-informed, qualified, effective workforce to undertake evidence-based, and ethical, activities?
This session aims to share some of the efforts proving successful in building the workforce to meet this challenge, and to promote discussion and knowledge exchange; with presentations from ISSUP, ICUDDR and ITTC on networking, education and governmental engagement.
