Mixed methods for understanding drug use

Attendees of this session will learn about mixed methods approaches to uncovering drug trends. Topics include findings from Norway's early warning system on drug trends and insights from a Welsh drug monitoring service detecting and raising awareness of nitazene in pills sold as prescription medications. The session also covers a study combining self-reported data and hair analysis to examine substance use and non-medical prescription drug use, along with a study investigating drug use and available care for incarcerated individuals in Dutch prisons.
