Aleksander Erga, PhD, is a senior clinical psychologist, a research leader at KORFOR and an associate professor in psychology at University of Stavanger.His research expertise lies in the clinical and cognitive aspects of various brain disorders, with a particular emphasis on substance use disorders and Parkinson's disease.
Dr. Erga’s research portfolio is notable for its comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach, often involving clinical trials and longitudinal cohort studies. He is the principal investigator of the STAYER-study, a significant 10-year cohort study that explores the recovery trajectories of individuals with substance use disorders. Through his work, Erga aims to deepen the understanding of the mechanisms underlying these conditions and to contribute to the development of more effective interventions and treatments.
