About
Amir Hasanović is a seasoned social worker with over 19 years of dedicated experience in preventing risky behaviors, particularly among children and youth. He holds a Master’s degree in Addiction and Violence Prevention and is a certified trainer for the European Prevention Curriculum (EUPC) in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Since 2013, Amir has been at the helm of the Association for Addiction Prevention NARKO-NE as its Executive Director, where he leads the development and implementation of evidence-based interventions across various environments, including family, schools, workplaces, local communities, and media.
Since 2009, Amir has served as an external collaborator with the SALTO Resource Center for Southeast Europe. In this capacity, he has accredited and evaluated applications for both the European Voluntary Service (EVS) and the European Solidarity Corps (ESC).
From 2013 to 2017, he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Peace Building Network. On the international stage, Amir is an active member of the European Society for Prevention Research (EUSPR) and the International Society of Substance Use Prevention Professionals (ISSUP).
Amir brings extensive expertise in international networking, forging strong connections with organizations, institutions, and experts in youth work, addiction prevention, health promotion, peacebuilding, and beyond.
