About
Ebtesam Saleh is a Pharmacist, MSc.Clinical Pharmacy and currently a Doctoral Candidate at the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin. She was awarded the Fred Yates Prize in 2023 for significant research in Addiction by the Society for the Study of Addiction (SSA). The German Academic Exchange Institute awarded her two full scholarships (2011, 2019). She researched Addiction in humanitarian settings for over a decade, starting in her home country, Yemen, and continuing her research among forcibly displaced populations in the host countries. In addition to her academic role at the Pharmacology and Toxicology Department at Aden University-Yemen, she has worked with international NGOs and as a consultant and staff trainer at the Addiction Awareness Center in Yemen.
