Dr. George Keel is an assistant professor of health economics at The Karolinska Institute and a research manager at The Swedish Institute for Health Economics. George specializes in costing and health economic modelling. He has developed health economic models in the disease areas of depression and opioid dependency, and he has economic modelling experience within evaluations of medtech devices and evaluations of various treatments within the cancer and diabetes treatment spaces. At The Karolinska Institute, George is a director of three master’s level courses in economic evaluation, health economic modeling, and financing in health care. George received his PhD from Karolinska, where he investigated the development of innovative cost accounting infrastructures in healthcare.
