About

Ioulia Bafi, psychologist (MSc Psy), is the Head of the Greek Documentation and Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Alcohol, which is the EUDA’s Greek Focal Point, UMHRI. In this position, she manages the national drug and alcohol information system, which plays a key role in monitoring addiction-related issues and corresponding responses across Greece. Ioulia is an active member of committees and expert groups at both national and European level. She has also served as a short-term expert in European Commission twinning projects related to drugs and has coordinated the Greek arm of various European co-funded as well as national research and training projects. Her expertise and personal interests include promoting quality assurance in demand reduction services, establishing quality standards, evaluating prevention programmes, and training professionals in monitoring, data collection, and prevention.
