Marleen

Marleen de Waal works as a senior researcher at Arkin mental health care. Her research focuses on the comorbidity of PTSD and addiction, the impact of childhood trauma, and prevention of revictimization. Marleen leads several clinical studies, including the TOPA (Treatment Of Ptsd and Addiction) study. She supervises PhD students and Clinical Psychologists in training on scientific research. Marleen also works as a licensed healthcare psychologist (GZ-psychologist) at the Sinai Centre, a Dutch treatment and expertise center for PTSD and other trauma-related disorders.
