Zanina

Prof. Zanina Pereska MD, PhD, specialist of internal medicine, works at the University Clinic of Toxicology, Ss Cyril and Methodius University, Skopje, North Macedonia. She has dedicated her career to treating poisoned and addicted patients as a physician in intensive care unit, participated in establishing a modern poison information center and opioid substitution program with Buprenorphine at the clinic. At the moment she is at the position of head of Center for information for chemical poisoning, University Clinic of Toxicology, Skopje.  She is author and co-author of books for medical, dental students and nurses and papers in the field of clinical toxicology and addiction diseases, published in national, international and impact factor journals. 

Some of the projects in which she participated were Chemical risk management in Macedonia 2009-2011 (Sweden and Macedonia cooperative project between), Experience and challenges of poison center establishment and operation in the small country- experts for WHO 2022, Euro-DEN Plus and EMCDDA EU4MD and IPA7 pilot project 2022-2024.
