How to improve SUD treatment services – the importance of health registry data
Clinical improvement driven by health registry data remains an important challenge for all substance use disorder treatment services. Several Scandinavian countries have recently developed health registries to provide evidence-based indicators, linked to clinical guidelines, to improve treatment, support research and develop policy. The aim of this workshop is to present the status of the Norwegian and Swedish SUD registries, respectively, and how they can be used in treatment improvement and research.
The workshop is a cooperation between the Norwegian national registries NORSUD and Brukerplan, and the Swedish national registry Bättre Beroendevård. The composition and structure of each registry will be presented, including degree of coverage, indicators, outdata format and ongoing research.
