About
Alba Palazón Llecha (1995) is a psychologist who obtained her master degree in health psychology at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Currently, she is doing her PhD at Universitat de Girona (UdG) in the field of substance addictions, exploring specifically the efficacy of addictions cognitive-behavioral therapy in a web-based format. During her research, she also focused her work in investigating the predictors of treatment outcoms of cocaine use disorder. Hence, a recent systematic review about this topic has been published.
In her career, the researcher decided to train in emotional regulation, from which she has taken advantage to study the role of this variable in the course and prognosis of cocaine addiction.
In terms of results dissemination, Alba has a wide experience in attending and presenting posters and oral communications in national and international congresses, such as the latest editions of the European Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (EABCT) in Belgrade (2024) and the WPA congress of psychiatry in Vienna (2023).
