Andreja Drev is employed at the National Institute of Public Health, where she actively participates as a senior researcher in key national studies on the health of children and adolescents, as well as the use of psychoactive substances. She is involved in developing content related to the prevention of psychoactive substance use and contributes to various public health projects. She is the author of numerous articles, monographs, and other publications on psychoactive substances and adolescent health. She was also involved in the preparation of the new Resolution on the National Programme on Illicit drugs 2023-2030. In the past, as a member of the National Focal Point for the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA), she spent over a decade developing and coordinating the national and regional Early Warning System for new psychoactive substances. She also served as the editor-in-chief for ten years, leading the preparation of the National Report on the State of Drug Use in the Republic of Slovenia.
