About
Anna Volfová is an addiction specialist, psychotherapist and researcher. She is set in the Addiction Treatment Unit of the General University Hospital in Prague, Czech Republic, 2016-2021 inpatient unit for women, since 2022 outpatient centre for adults. Since 2022, she is providing psychotherapy with children and adults in private sector. In the past, she was a prevention lector and led prevention programs in schools under a professional organization, later she was a consultant for addiction issues for an NGO called Anabell providing counselling for people with eating disorders. After graduating from addiction studies on the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague, she continued as a research assistant at the Department of Addictology, First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in projects connected with education in the addiction field, collaborated with the ICUDDR team (International Consortium of Universities for Drug Demand Reduction), contributed to scientific papers, and attended international conferences presenting the topic. In 2019 she started her PHD studies conducting research in undergraduate medical education in addictions. She is the founder of the Czech Association of Addictology Students (ČASA) and since 2016 she is a board member of the Czech national professional association Czech Association of Addiction Professionals (ČAA), 2 years being the head. She is member of International Society of Substance Use Professionals (ISSUP).
