About

She holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences (ICBAS, UP, 2012), graduated in Psychology (Clinical and Health, UM, 1999), holds a master’s degree in Psychology (Cognitive Sciences, UM, 2003), and completed a postdoc in Psychology (project Psychobiological Approach to Pathological and Problematic Gambling, FPCEUP, 2018). She is a specialist in Clinical and Health Psychology and in Neuropsychology. Since 2022, she has been a Coordinator Professor of Psychology at the Escola superior de Saúde, Polytechnic of Porto (E2S - P. Porto), where she has taught since 2000, including the curricular unit Digital Health. Since 2003, she has been the Coordinator of the Social and Human Sciences Department and the Coordinator of the CTesP Health Care and Well-being. She has been a member of several management bodies. Since 2017, she has been an integrated member of the Rehabilitation Research Center (Psychosocial Rehabilitation Laboratory, ESS/P.Porto and FPCEUP, 2009) and an associated member of the Neuropsychophysiology Laboratory (FPCEUP, since 2009). She has been involved in research/networking projects. Some have benefited from competitive science funding, national and international sources, adding up to a total sum of > 8 million euros. She is the national representative of the BootStRaP: Boosting Societal Adaptation and Mental Health in a Rapidly Digitalizing, Post-Pandemic Europe (Horizon RIA) and a member of the management committee (e.g., elected by the FCT) of the COST CA 16207 – Problematic Usage of the Internet. She is the PI of the project BET-DeTECH: Better Deep Technology Tools for Gambling Harm Prevention, Early Detection and Personalized Intervention.
