Psychologist, with specialisation in clinical psychology and psychotherapy from the national board of psychologists.

Working in harm reduction programs, since 2005 as a case manager of the Mobile Methadone Programme operated by Ares do Pinhal (ADP), an NGO in Portugal. Since 2016 accumulated the role of Team Coordinator. Member of the technical team invited by the city of Lisbon to take part in the emergency accommodation centres for homeless people during the COVID-19 pandemic. Member of the team of ADP that set up the Santa Bárbara Municipal Emergency Shelter.

Was part of the committee that set up the first fixed drug consumption room (DCR) in Portugal (Lisbon), in May 2021. Nowadays, he is the General Coordinator of ADP, working close to the methadone programme, DCR and the Municipal emergency shelter, where it supervises the technical team. Focal point for Lisbon at the European Harm Reduction Network (EHRN) and member of the core group of the European Network of Drug Consumption Rooms (ENDCR).
