Joana de Jesus Moura is a dedicated Researcher at the Correlation - European Harm Reduction Network, with experience in hands-on work at the Drop-in & Drug Consumption Room of AMOC (De Regenboog Groep). With over three years of combined practical and research experience, Joana possesses a comprehensive understanding of harm reduction interventions, migration issues, social exclusion, drug use, and public health.
Joana holds a Master's Degree in Psychology, specializing in Deviant Behavior and Justice Psychology. This multidisciplinary program equipped her with skills the multidisciplinary application of psychology in the fields of community psychology, forensic psychology, justice psychology, victimology, criminology, criminal law, and public policy.
Joana is deeply committed to social justice and believes in the necessity of activist engagement in research and psychological practice. Her interests encompass mental health as a public health issue, global health, social and health inequalities, MHPSS, stigma, marginalization, migration policies, drug use, harm reduction, addiction, restorative justice, ecological interventions, community-led interventions, participatory methods of research and research methodology in general.
Joana's unique perspective stems from her extensive experience both in research and practical settings, providing her with valuable insights into the complexities of her field.
