About

In 2005 I finished my 2005 bachelor degree in Psychology from Northumbria University at Newcastle in the UK, obtaining a Bsc(Hons)Psychology, Second Class-Upper Division. In the years between 2006-2008 I attended a distance learning master from St. Louis University in Missouri (USA), with classes also taking place in Cyprus. In 2008 I obtained my MA in Education (Specialization in Special Education).

At the same time I was working from February of 2006 at the Cyprus League Against Rheumatism as a Psychosocial Officer of CYP.L.A.R. In June of 2008 until 2010 I became the Director of the Cyprus League Against Rheumatism.  In 2009 I obtained a Certification of attendance for the Program “Strategic Management for the Leaders of NGO’s’ from the Kennedy School of Government of Harvard University.

In September of 2010 I entered the MA in School Psychology Program at the University of Cyprus. In 2011 I started working as an Officer responsible for the Prevention sector in the Policy Department of the Cyprus Antidrug Council. Regarding my MA I completed all the courses of the program of School Psychology as well as two out of the three internship stages needed. Due to the demands of my work I was unable to complete the final internship stage so I transferred to the MA in Cognitive and Educational Psychology, at the University of Cyprus which I completed in 2016.

I am currently working at the Cyprus National Addictions Authority since 2011 as an officer. My main responsibilities are prevention, funding and evaluating prevention programs, educating professionals regarding prevention and also harm reduction and the media department.
