About
Ms Debrincat is a Psychologist within Malta’s Public Agency - Foundation for Social Welfare Services (FSWS). As a Psychology graduate from the University of Malta in 2011, she pursued a career at Child Protection Services within the Malta’s public sector. Most of her work focused on children and caregivers with issues relating to abuse, addiction and trauma amongst others.
In 2017, Ms Debrincat furthered her studies in psychology and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Malta, two years later. Since her return to the Agency, she now provides psychological input and forms part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to addictions, therapy to children, adolescents and adults with issues relating to addiction, trauma and PTSD; and conducts psychological and psychometric tests. Ms Debrincat is also one of the psychologists within the Malta Transgender Wellbeing Clinic. In addition, she volunteers at Dar Hosea - a Non-Governmental Organisation that cares for women involved in prostitution.
