About

Muluken Basa is a research assistant and PhD candidate in Nursing and Midwifery at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. He was born and raised in Ethiopia. His PHD research explores the impact of COVID-19 on non-communicable disease patients in developing countries and the crucial role of nurses. Muluken holds BSc. degrees in Public Health, Master of Emergency Medicine and Critical Care Nursing, and Master’s in Community Health from TCD. His professional experience spans academic lecturing, public health research, and project management. He is recognized for his leadership and problem-solving skills, he has received multiple awards, including the Ireland Fellows Programme 2019 and the prestigious 1252 PhD Student Scholarship. He has published in peer-reviewed journals, with a focus on innovative healthcare solutions in low-resource settings.
