Sadie Lavelle Cafferkey is a qualified healthcare professional with dual registration as a nurse and midwife. Her clinical experience encompasses providing care for vulnerable adults and neonates within acute hospital environments. She possesses a keen interest in substance use, infectious diseases, and mental health, which has driven her academic pursuits.
Sadie recently completed a Master of Science degree in Addiction Recovery at the School of Medicine, Trinity College Dublin. Currently, she is engaged in a PhD program at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Trinity College Dublin, focusing on the development of a nurse-led addiction model of care specifically tailored for rural areas. Her research aims to contribute to the advancement of healthcare services and improve patient outcomes in these regions.
