Steven Belenko, Ph.D. is Professor in the Temple University Department of Criminal Justice, with prior positions at the University of Pennsylvania and Columbia University. Dr. Belenko is an internationally recognized scholar whose work has been funded by the U.S. National Institute on Drug Abuse, Department of Justice, and various foundations. His research focuses on the integration of behavioral health interventions in the adult and juvenile justice systems; the impact of substance abuse, HIV, and other health issues on adults and adolescents; and developing and testing interventions to improve implementation of evidence-based services in correctional, drug courts, and other settings. He has authored four books and more than 125 journal articles and book chapters. Dr. Belenko received his B.S. in mathematics and Ph.D. in experimental psychology from Columbia University. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Experimental Criminology, and recipient of their Lifetime Achievement Award.
