Solja Niemelä is an Associate Professor of Addiction Medicine at the Department of Psychiatry, University of Turku, Finland. She is a specialist of psychiatry and has also completed the Finnish training program for special competence in addiction medicine. Her area of research is epidemiology, main interests include substance use and psychosis, prognosis of adolescent substance use, and prescription drug abuse.
