Monitoring drug use through wastewater analysis in Spain
Abstract
José Benito Quintana will present the basis of wastewater analysis in monitoring drug use and the experiences of the Spanish Network ESAR-Net ( www.esarnet.es), which monitored illicit drugs (including NPS), alcohol and tobacco in 17 wastewater treatment plants, covering a population of ca. 6 Million in Spain.
