Progress in alcohol research and treatment

Within the context of this Structured Session, the most recent scientific and clinical findings will be presented on different highly relevant topics related to Alcohol Use Disorders (AUD). In short (15’) power-talks the following aspects will be reviewed; 1) New outcomes in AUD (Karl Mann), 2) the use of new technologies in AUD-treatment (Antoni Gual), 3) precision medicine approach in AUD-treatment (Geert Dom), 4) AUD-treatment guidelines in Europe (Colin Drummond), and, 5) Chronic pain and its relationship with AUD (Marcin Wojnar). Participants in the Session will acquire a comprehensive state of the art overview concerning recent developments in AUD and will have the opportunity to discuss findings with the different speakers.
