About

Katri Abel-Ollo currently works in the Estonian National Institute for Health Development. She is leading several monitoring and research projects at the EMCDDA national focal point what is within the center for the infectious disease and drug prevention of the institute. She has developed and overseen the drug surveillance system in Estonia for 16 years and written the annual national reports/overviews on illicit drugs. Her main areas of research have been risk behavior studies of people who inject drugs as well as mapping and quality assessment of prevention, harm reduction, addiction treatment and rehabilitation services. Katri holds a masters degree in public health from the University of Tartu and a BA in sociology from Tallinn University, Estonia.
