About
Parnian Rafei is currently a PhD student at the Department of Psychology and Trinity College Institute of Neuroscience at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. She has been graduated with her BA and MSc degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Tehran, Iran. She is keen on investigating the neurocognitive aspects of habitual behaviours such as substance use disorders with a focus on future-oriented cognition, using neuroimaging techniques and digital health apps.
She has also been a graduate research assistant at the Iranian National Center for Addiction Studies (INCAS), a registered WHO collaborating centre. She has been serving as the executive secretary and research assistant for the Neuroscience Interest Group of the International Society of Addiction Medicine (ISAM-NIG) since January 2020. She was the member secretary of the ISAM-NExT committee and the communication officer (2020 – 2022) and the ISAM Global Experts Network (ISAM-GEN).
