Diversity statement

The Lisbon Addictions organisers believe that the conference will be enriched by bringing together participants with different backgrounds and experiences. An explicit aim of the conference is to support networking and dialogue across the addictions field, between those at different levels of career development, and with those impacted by addiction as an issue. Committed to the principles of diversity and inclusion, we aim to make all participants feel welcome and equally valued, regardless of their ethnicity, religion, disability, age, gender identity or sexual orientation.
We want to encourage diversity in participation at the conference and particularly welcome submissions from under-represented voices, including those with lived experience. The organisers also welcome suggestions on how to improve performance in promoting inclusion and diversity, both at Lisbon Addictions 2022 and at future events. Should anyone participating in Lisbon Addictions have any questions, or require support to access the conference venue or to participate in any of the sessions, please contact us at: lisbonaddictions2022@abreu.pt. We will be happy to discuss your individual needs.
