About
The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) and the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA) are updating their joint 2011 guidance on the prevention and control of infectious diseases among people who inject drugs. The guidance focuses on the prevention and control of hepatitis B, hepatitis C, HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis (TB) and is intended for use by policy makers and public health/social programme planners. The aim of this session is to present the scope of the updated guidance, as well as the new evidence from systematic reviews behind some of the forthcoming updated recommendations.
