Dr. Smolka is conduting addiction research since 1996 and has specialized in Addiction Medicine in 2001. His current research is focused on neuro-cognitve mechanisms of addition to better understand the development and maintanance of the disorder and to ultimately develop novel mechanism-based interventions.
