2. Shared responsibilities among different stakeholders in the quest for evidence: experiences from Georgia
Abstract
The significance of developing and implementing a NAPDIS was apparent during the initial stages of Georgia's newly-created NDO. An absence of unified data constituted a challenge for policy and decision-makers. While the NAPDIS intends to gather, analyse and interpret data, as well as disseminate it, Georgian authorities and the NDO are increasingly recognising the value of the drug information system and are working to adopt actions that will enhance data collection and analytical tools.
